Multimodal Grounding for Virtual Humans and Robots
Guidance for Speakers
Talk length: We have scheduled 30 minute slots for your talks. We will be flexible about how this breaks down into the talk itself and the subsequent question period. A good target would be to talk for 20 minutes and leave 10 minutes for discussion; a 25 minute talk that leaves 5 minutes for discussion is also fine.
Our intention is that there will be some discussion after each talk, but also plenty of time for additional discussion of any of the preceding several talks, or related issues, during the open discussion periods on the schedule.
Technical details: We will provide a computer which can be used to display your powerpoint or pdf files. Alternatively, you may use your own laptop through a VGA connection to the projector. The preferred resolution for presentations is 1024x768 or 1280x1024. Higher resolutions may not display properly.
A sound system will also be available.
If you wish, you may email your presentation to Joseph Scarpine and we will check that it displays properly in advance.
