WHO WE ARE
FORCE (Future-Oriented Research and Creative Endeavors) is an ICT
research project started by Jacquelyn Ford Morie in 2006. We are
dedicated to finding and discovering new military applications of
emergent mobile and network technologies. The rapid growth of these
commercial sectors has led to some startling innovations that have yet
to be leveraged by the military infrastructure. The purpose of our
project is to explore the cutting edge of "mobile" and "web 2.0" and the
relevance of these technologies to ICT and Army applications.
WHAT WE DO
We have performed both exploratory and applied research in the service
of our project. By clicking on the categories above, you can see the
abbreviated results of this research, as well as a few examples of our
prototype work in bringing ICT content to new mobile/online
platforms.
WHAT YOU'LL FIND ON THIS SITE
This site is intended as a display space for our work... a platform for
ICT and its partners to review and utilize our findings. Because this
site is intended as a "jumping off point", and not an active development
portal, not all of our work has been included. By following the links
at right, you can access several additional resources we have developed,
including the FORCEWiki (in which we are actively documenting our
process and discoveries), our customizable web/mobile charts, and our
downloadable AXL: iPod prototype. In addition, you can subscribe to our
RSS feeds to receive notice of additional content from our team as our
research initiative continues.
