Travel Expenses & Reimbursements

 

The sponsor of this workshop has provided travel funds to support the participation of civilian experts.  If you have been offered this support, you will only be reimbursed under the following guidelines:

 

1.            Reimbursable expenses are limited to direct travel to and from LA, local transportation, and meals.

2.            Reservations and bookings are the responsibility of each attendee.

3.            First class airfare and alcohol will not be reimbursed.

4.            The daily maximum for hotel and meals is $250.

5.            Original receipts must be provided in order to receive reimbursement.

 

Forms and additional details will be provided on-site.

Hotel Details

Direct payment for hotel rooms has been setup for this workshop.  You will be required to provide a credit card when making your reservation.  The hotel will only bill the nightly room rate to the workshop.  All incidental charges are the responsibility of the attendee.

Flight information:

 

Fly America Act

 

The Act requires that either a US Flagship carrier be used or a foreign carrier that code shares with a US Flagship carrier.  To properly ticket a code share carrier, the ticket must be issued using the US Flagship's flight number and validated by the US Flagship carrier.

 

Although some foreign carriers may offer cheaper fares and more direct routes, unfortunately, the U.S. government does not consider these valid exceptions.

Transportation

Our designated conference hotel, the Marina del Rey Hotel, provides complimentary shuttle service to and from LAX at the top of every hour.

The Marina del Rey Hotel is less than a mile from the meeting location.
